Christine Engelfried began dance training at Pacific Studio for Dance and went on to place in advanced conservatory levels in both the high school and collegiate setting. Christine graduated from Loyola Marymount University with degrees in dance and communication studies and continued her education with an acceptance into the summer dance program at the esteemed Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Following graduation she gained significant skills in communication, leadership and management working as a regional manager in the fitness industry specializing in operations, corporate training and leadership. However it was her love of movement that brought her full circle back to teaching and performing. Christine currently dances with Above Ground Dance Company and Darnell Dance Works and sits on the advisory board of IGNITE Dance Workshops. In addition, she has the distinct privilege of working with the Archdiocese of Los Angeles as a minister of liturgical movement over the past 5 years. Christine has also instructed dance for youth at Holy Family High School College Preparatory, Mayfield Senior School and Thomas Edison Elementary School. This lifetime of movement and teaching gave Christine a unique understanding of body and health - a perspective that also enhances her effectiveness as a yoga instructor. Certified by Yoga Works in Los Angeles (and recognized by Yoga Alliance), her credentials comprise three areas of study: The Theory and Practice of Yoga, Yoga Philosophy and The Art of Teaching.

Christine is honored and thrilled to be a part of the GROOV3 family and inspired to enhance the lives of others through the gift of dance!
