Michelle Riggs is the Dance and Cheer Program Director at La Puente High School in Southern California. After receiving her Masters in Dance Education from Cal State Long Beach, she has had the privileged of servicing this community in public schools since 2001, first at Fairgrove Academy (K-8 school) and now at La Puente High School. Michelle is the recipient of the Los Angeles Music Center’s BRAVO AWARD for Specialist Teacher of the Year. Equity and Access is at the heart of her program; offering academic, creative, performance, and inclusive dance education opportunities for all students. In her spare time, Michelle dances with the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks over 40 dance team, The Ole Skool Crew, where dancers are timeless and ageless. She is excited to be a new member of the CR3W!
